Shockwave Therapy

Town & Country Veterinary Hospital is pleased to offer Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) to pet owners in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and the surrounding areas. The PiezoWave2 Vet system provides effective and non-invasive treatment for musculoskeletal injuries, osteoarthritis, and wound healing in horses.

It is also beneficial for the treatment of tendon and ligament injuries, hip and elbow dysplasia, degenerative joint disease, painful scar tissue, chronic back pain, chronic wound care, and the healing of fractures in companion animals, particularly dogs.

This non-invasive treatment focuses on the targeted treatment area of your pet’s body and sends high energy sound waves that trigger the body’s own repair mechanisms. This particular shockwave treatment produces less noise and patient discomfort and requires little or no sedation during therapy.
