Dr. St. John was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Al. He graduated high school from
Tuscaloosa Academy. In 1979 he earned his BS Degree in Biology and English from the
University of Alabama (Roll Tide!!). He then graduated with a BS in Animal Science in 1980
and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1984, both from Auburn University (War
He did his internship in Lexington, KY where he worked on both small and large animals.
Upon graduating he worked one year in Winchester, TN with Dr. Harry Prince also focusing
on both small and large animals. In 1988 he returned to Tuscaloosa, AL and opened Town &
Country Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Warren Neal.
Dr. St. John also specializes in equine medicine, providing routine care as well as
He and his wife, Jennifer, live on a farm in Moundville, AL, just 15 minutes from the
clinic. He enjoys tending to his organic garden as well as to the cows, horses, &
chickens. He and Jennifer are also owned by three dogs, Gabe, Mollie, and Lacey, and a

the southeast. He also enjoys traveling and continuing his education through seminars.
Dr. Neal was born in Darby, PA. He grew up mainly in Maryland except for the three years
he spent in Germany while his father was in the Army. After graduating high school in
Walkersville, Maryland he earned his BS Degree at Auburn University in 1980. He then
earned his masters in Ruminant Nutrition in 1985 and his DVM in 1986, also from Auburn
University. After earning his DVM he practiced in Tuscaloosa, Alabama doing relief work
for various clinics. In 1988 he and Dr. Jamie St. John opened Town & Country Veterinary
Hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL. Town & Country is a mixed practice specializing in dogs,
cats, and horses.
Dr. Neal has three daughters, Kaylee, Karisa, and Kelsey. He also has a cat, Romeo, and
two dogs, Snoopy and Cuddles. He enjoys hunting and fishing as well as boating on the
Black Warrior River.
